Date Joined: 2000
Email: carolineb@n-v.co.uk
Direct Dial: 024 7623 4259
Background:
Caroline is a specialist in Wills, Probate, Trusts and Inheritance Tax. This is generically entitled 'Private Client' and is the area in which Caroline has worked since qualification in 1997.
Following the successful expansion of the Residential Conveyancing and Private Client Department, it became apparent that Private Client should progress in its own right. Caroline joined the Firm in 2000 to take on this role. Since then, the Department has grown to such an extent that four specialist Fee Earners now practice solely in this area. Caroline became a Partner of the Practice in April 2006.
Expertise:
Caroline and her colleagues in the Private Client department have a wealth of experience in the following:
- Wills
- Probate
- Trusts
- Inheritance Tax Planning
- Enduring Powers of Attorney
- Receivership (Court of Protection Procedures)
- Long Term Care Planning
The Department also specialises in Contentious Probate matters where disputes arise concerning deceased's estates. Very few firms in the area are able to offer advice in this highly complex area of law.
Caroline believes specialism is an absolute must in modern day practice and that the ever diverse needs of Clients can only be met by specialist practitioners working together to provide a complete service.
Caroline is a member of the Probate Section of the Law Society, Solicitors for the Elderly and an Associate member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She strongly advocates Partnership of such institutions as a way of independently warranting to Clients that the advice and service they receive from the Firm is of the highest standard, albeit delivered in a friendly and down to earth manner.
Personal:
Born in Coventry, Caroline has remained local and lives in Meriden with her husband and daughter. Her main priority when not working is to spend as much time as possible with her family. She also enjoys good wine and eating out.
